Sir Ian McKellen, Jim Caviezel star. I'm guilty in that I haven't tried to find/watch the original still. Perhaps after seeing this, I'll be more motivated to.
From the San Diego ComicCon trailer it is clear that the basic plot of the new series remains the same, a man awakening in a strange village, and some of the scenes appear to be directly based on scenes in the original series, for example, the Prisoner trying to purchase a map in the Village Shop. A notable difference appears to be that the villagers (including the Prisoner) have been made to forget about the world outside of the Village. Other changes include the difference in the setting of the Village, the costumes, and the lack of badges.
