Lost in Vegas - Rush-2112 REACTION

A lot of people have seen this already, and I commented on Twitter earlier about it.

I enjoyed this one a ton as I have with all of their Rush videos and many others.

The only issue is the edits for copyright concerns.

I mentioned they should check out the ANIMATED VIDEO that Rush themselves shared a few years ago.

And then I added another post on twitter tagging them and Rush that echos a ton of comments in support of them making a REACT TO video for Natural Science.

It is awesome they love Rush so much, and some of the comments asked about them reacting to some other names in progressive rock. Yes of course (Roundabout, which might make sense, although someone suggested Heart of the Sunrise which would be my suggestion).

And so I chimed in about Genesis and King Crimson which I thought they may have done a video for 21st Century Schizoid Man, but I'm not sure. They could react to Starless or Red I suppose if so.

The Peanuts do 2112

Possibly a bit stretched to try and fit something, anything that remotely finds the lyrics or mood from Peanuts animations, this seems still well worked with a lot of effort.

Hopefully some people who love The Peanuts who are unfamiliar with Rush and 2112 will now have found a new band they enjoy (and I suppose vice-versa for Rush fans, but I somehow suspect there are very few Rush fans who aren't familiar with The Peanuts, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, etc).

Of course there is also the animated short film from 2016.

Random Artist Feature: Rush

8/10/16 6:25AM

Part 3. I should make a part 4 and finally wrap this one up soon, but I can't be sure if that will be next week or more so, down the road as I don't have any of those albums on vinyl. I may just wait until I do, although Snakes and Arrows I wouldn't plan on it.

Power Windows
Hold Your Fire
Force Ten 12"
A Show of Hands
Presto
Vapor Trails (Remix)

7/19/16 8:02PM

Permanent Waves
Moving Pictures
Exit...Stage Left
Signals
New World Man/Vital Signs (live) 7"
The Spirit of Radio "7
New World Man/Vital Signs (live) 12"
Grace Under Pressure
Distant Early Warning/Between the Wheels 12"

16 mins unfortunately, and Part 3 came out longer. Unsure if I want to remake that 1.
There is a lot to talk about Rush though and the fact I have a bunch of additional pieces besides just the standard studio albums.

Rush - 2112 Comic Book Video Suite

http://www.rush.com/2112-comic-book-video-suite/

This is pretty awesome to see. And it's to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the release of 2112 which came out on April 1st, 1976.

Time:

It does make me wonder what may happen in the year 2112 with the Rush album. Or just in 2112 a bit, as corny as that sounds. And of course I and nearly everyone reading this in the next 5-20 years likely won't even be alive to see it sadly. I suppose children, grandchildren, etc could be.

I also can't help but wonder and wish other things like this could be made. I recall back around 2002, 2003, 2005? I forget, but a dude started work on a Dream Theater's Scenes From a Memory Manga. They got through "Strange DejaVu" but I never heard more of it.

Others like Coheed and Cambria (which has been made into a graphic novel I think), and The Dear Hunter (which has been and still is in progress to be made and published).

But sync-ed up to the music, etc I'm unaware of. But I could easily see those happening at some point, especially if there is someone who has the time and interest that was put into this.

Now, will 2112 the movie happen? Rush has become popular enough in recent years, Hollywood or someone in the Film industry may actually try and do it. I just hope it happens while all the Rush guys are still around.

Rush - 2112

Unsure what this is, but it would be sweet if it were some kind of sync-ed Graphic Novel or animated film coming.

Today is 12/1/12 so perhaps that is all the reason taking off the 1st 1 in the Months's place, it does appear to be 2112.
