Between the Buried and Me - Selkies: The Endless Obsession
From a concise/tight/concrete songwriting approach, I don't think the band ever made anything as well-crafted.
When I got into BTBAM in 2007, it was mostly about Colors. But Alaska has always been a relatively close 2nd, and this track is the climax of that album.
Great guitar harmonizing, great segues, and great flow.
And yes, along with Burst, a band who took the King Crimson"Three of a Perfect Pair" interval pattern/riff and ran with it to make perfection.
The Lost in Vegas guys just did a Reaction video to their 1st BTBAM song, "The Coma Machine," and I cannot stress how much better this tune would have been,
The media market is huge, thus the need for a media review market.
This is our little contribution to that field.

Lost in Vegas - Rush-2112 REACTION
A lot of people have seen this already, and I commented on Twitter earlier about it.
I enjoyed this one a ton as I have with all of their Rush videos and many others.
The only issue is the edits for copyright concerns.
I mentioned they should check out the ANIMATED VIDEO that Rush themselves shared a few years ago.
Thanks for making this! This was a ton of fun!, even with having to edit some spots. I would suggest listening to 2112 without edits soon, and actually a great way to do that would be with the ANIMATED VIDEO: https://t.co/NrZTxGxMZU https://t.co/AmGJSGpyhc— AllMediaReviews (@AllMediaReviews) July 7, 2018
And then I added another post on twitter tagging them and Rush that echos a ton of comments in support of them making a REACT TO video for Natural Science.
@lostinvegas83 I will echo many requests in the 2112-Reaction video, for your next @rushtheband Reaction Video, NATURAL SCIENCE. would be awesome. I find it simply a perfectly composed piece of music.— AllMediaReviews (@AllMediaReviews) July 7, 2018
It is awesome they love Rush so much, and some of the comments asked about them reacting to some other names in progressive rock. Yes of course (Roundabout, which might make sense, although someone suggested Heart of the Sunrise which would be my suggestion).
And so I chimed in about Genesis and King Crimson which I thought they may have done a video for 21st Century Schizoid Man, but I'm not sure. They could react to Starless or Red I suppose if so.

November 2017 Videos: CDs, Vinyl, Collectibles
So I decided to upload and share these videos from November 2017 that I made in the Storage space (and of course not edited. I know YouTube does have an editing function that maybe I'll have to try and play around with soon).
I guess these and some of the others are kind of obvious why making videos isn't too easy for me (the space/situation and of course TIME among other reasons).
And my head does get cutoff frequently, but so be it, maybe I'm and even others don't mind or are used to it.
The 2nd video the LIGHTS GO OFF (turns black) per the hallway lights at the Storage space are on a timer and I think it's like 15 or 20 minutes, which I need to remind myself whenever I may be making videos there in the future.
Had that not happened, there likely would have only been 3 videos.
The 4th video is up so close, dunno why I didn't realize that, but again, so be it.
Also in reviewing these, I have a few more items still to show, namely Extreme and a Rush 7" I think from Black Friday Record Store Day. Maybe soon, perhaps when some of the other Vinyl I'm expecting come in (Subterranean Masquerade, Typhoon among others).

The Year 1981 Albums Calendar and Rankings
1981, the year of Rush or Moving Pictures I guess.
Yikes, like the 1979 list, it doesn't include a ton of classics or all-time favorites for me. And like 1979 with In Through the Out Door, I look at the Rush album on par with most of their catalog. But it's not like Moving Pictures is a go-to album really for them, for me, over many others.
But comparing it to the rest of the releases of 1981, it kind of is.
I do enjoy Ghost in the Machine quite a bit too, but #2 for the year? dunno about that.
I guess I'm learning with many years, especially from the period of time, my taste and knowledge is only so deep. And it's mostly artists I know/like releasing albums that are okay to good, but hardly even in the upper half of their catalog.
Which it sort of hit me that my love and depth of interest in the last 15 or 20 years even is justified at least to the point there was MORE music made, per more quality. Now, that argument doesn't correlate fully with many of those years in the 70's, but alas, that's when a lot of the best stuff in my taste was 1st made, so go figure.
At the same time, of course there are many albums I only vaguely know on this Calendar list, and also many I don't know but may discover down the road.
But at least in 1981 it was the year Rush kind of broke through commercially and it actually is the #1 ranked album on rym's chart, which is rare for My Own List and their chart for any of these years (maybe I'll do a tally once I finish this whole project).
