Rebranding or New Branding on YouTube?

 This idea has crossed my mind several times recently, and even come to think about it, going back many years.

And it was suggested to me by someone on reddit.

Creating a new channel with a new name, or maybe multiple new channels with new names.

I mean it would mean having to notify all the stuff on Social Media about the changes/new channels, etc, but at this point, what am I really losing? 

I probably would keep all the Social Media accounts, but change the names. 

If I do this, when? I could do it soon, or I could at least wait until a few things happen

a) Finish the THUD tracks videos, which is almost done

b) Finish the AOTY Series of Videos, which unfortunately could be many months. However I suppose I could either 
1) resume those on the new channel

2) kind of skip doing videos for each year, and just publish the lists in here and maybe link or even make 1 video showing the link.

Launch the new channel and my hope would be to put something up about the MPAR slide show thing I've been working on

Launch another channel with the Movies of the Year stuff and my Favorite Movies List

NAMES?..unsure, but I'm brainstorming

1 View? Really????..sorry, but it showed 20 Views when I got up this morning.

Fuck You YouTube.

edit: now it shows 19 Views.

Someone at YouTube screws around with this, or they update the algorithm to subtract/deduct/reduce Views that are done by Bots or something. Lovely.

Part of me at this point hopes nobody ever watches these videos per than I would have 0 expectation.

10 Years on YouTube Stream Today NOON (Central)

I likely will not go over all of the lists in the Stream per time, which suggests I'll make at least 1 separate video with some of the stuff I don't get to.

it seemed to be a pretty good twitter alternative the last few months especially, and I joined the Rock Hall subreddit around the time of the nominations were announced.

But, I make 1 comment about how The Monkees are more FAMOUS than every name included there, and 3 or 4 replied to me proved to be a fine waste of time.

The people who replied clearly are not well informed on The Monkees history and importance. I would guess they are younger and less versed in just pop music that is from The Monkees era or even just pre-90's. Or maybe more so, just not well versed how far reaching and KNOWN The Monkees are among musicians and pop-culture.

But we've seen this how many times?.."they were just a TV Show..fake band..they didn't write their own songs or play on their albums" 

ignorantly uninformed bullshit from countless people.

odd how the 1 reply stated The White Stripes and Outkast, the Nomination Committee member Alan Light, who was just on that podcast Who Cares About the Rock Hall? stated those were the 2 names he brings to the committee every year. 

Is the user on Reddit, Alan Light?..doubt it, but that's odd. as a side note, given how long he's been on the NomCom and what I got from listening to about 1/2 of that podcast, he needs to be removed per Term Limits.

but this video on YouTube discusses this very point about The Monkees influence, which objectively cannot be argued. Those people on Reddit are plain and simply ignorant and uninformed. And while I don't know if there's value in trying to argue with them any more at this point, it does reiterate a larger issue, even beyond just their egregious lack of recognition in the Rock Hall. It illustrates a huge problem with the culture and their ignorance of The Monkees in the history of music and pop culture, the fact they are not even known beyond the show and not thought of to be considered for the Rock Hall.

They don't deserve to be Leif Erickson..but the way history has gone, in 10 or 50+ years, they sadly could be undeservedly. The Rock Hall might not fully change that, but it could help to some degree.

And it would be funny, if they were put in even for Musical Excellence..some crow might be consumed by those uninformed redditors.

I decided to instead of replying, to report that. I would question whether much happens given 2 of the other replies were from the Moderators. But this person clearly resorted to name calling and personally attacking me.

But if I had to guess, 1 of 3 things will occur.
-it'll get ignored
-1 of the moderators will contact me about it, unsure how supportive they'll be
-they will remove me from the subreddit, which will speak to how poorly run it is, but at the same time, it would probably be best to avoid anyway.

Maybe I just make these and nothing else?..then Songs of the Year? Riffs of the Year? Lyrics of the Year?..lol Foods of the Year? Books of the Year? Pets of the Year? Clothes of the Year?

10 Years on YouTube Anniversary Streams

Well, what a shock, the YouTube Live Stream didn't work even with scheduling it.
So after 4 failed attempts, I went to StreamYard and got it to work. ok. It went okay I guess.

But of course, 2 people unsubscribed, lol and maybe 1 person streamed it live. I guess I'll try this again on Monday, the actual 10-year anniversary, and see how it goes. At least I am more familiar with how to go Live now with StreamYard. But that hardly guarantees anything better. I will try and promote it I suppose. 

edit 3/7/24: now 3 have unsubscried, lol..wtf.

I got through a percentage of the lists, but still have some long ones to try and get through.

I dunno, the whole Streaming thing. It's almost like you need to verbally beg people to actually watch and plan to watch. It shouldn't come to that, but I'm sure there are other channels that do live streams with a ton more subscribers and traffic than my channel, that still struggle to get people to watch.

But it's like that Dirt Poor Robins thing I mentioned. 20 videos including 2 just last week, and when searching "Dirt Poor Robins Review' NONE of them come up. 

It's just not fair.

I dunno, we'll see how it goes on Monday I guess. I need to make the Songs list still which could prove interesting. But I have

Also I may just talk about the channels on the stream per my list of memorable channels is long and a stream will give more time to include details about them.

Guests? I dunno..I've never done 1, and unsure how to. But I won't rule it out.
