Thank You Scientist - Terraformer (2018-2019)

Been listening to a lot of this new 80-minute double album from Thank You Scientist the last few days and I can say they may have finally won me over.

I can probably call myself a Thank You Scientist fan after now.

Although it's a pretty long listen, but there's great sections in many of the tracks.

FXMLDR is catchy as hell at points, and their singer sounds almost as much like Chris Ruff from Kaddisfly as he does Claudio Sanchez.

more to add later.

SIMILAR BITS: Dirt Poor Robins "All There Is" + Bend Sinister's "Walk the Other Way"

The Ending Chorus of ALL THERE IS and the chorus of Bend Sinister's "Walk the Other Way"?

It hit me today listening to "All There Is" for the 8th time, the chorus that begins
"After All This is Who We Are..."
while slower tempo and maybe in a slightly different key, but sounds a lot like the chorus in this Bend Sinister tune.

I love both tunes, especially this new track that opens Dead Horse, Alaska (RED), but I can't help but notice or be reminded of the Bend Sinister track.

If I knew how and had time, a remix of both of them would be cool to hear.

5-star Movies (Abridged/PART 1)

This is a list of all the perfect 5-star movies I found in my rateyourmusic account.

I'm almost certain there's a few dozen if not more that I am missing per I never found myself going to those movie's pages and rating them.

But just for the Sake-of and the minimal work I did copying these onto this entry, I'll throw this up for now.

But I mean to in the near future include an updated/more accurate/more than 24 5-star movies.

Also for the record, these are what I consider my 2 favorite movies of all-time:

The Wizard of Oz
Ghost World

5-Star Albums

So, here's a close-to but still not 100% definitive list of perfect 5-star albums, mostly all-of found on my 5-star ratings on rateyourmusic.com (clicking on the 2nd-4th pages shows the other 3-pages-worth of albums).

I wanted to publish this for a few reasons. Maybe the 1st being it seems people ask for favorite all-time albums or albums list, or I refer to them, and have type-out or LINK my rym page.

Well here's a not too extensively long list.

The list is in chronological order, so not ranked.

And that is one of the other reasons;

63 albums

3 live albums (Yessongs, Live at the Roxy, Live at the Troubadour)
2 compilations that I kind of consider 1 (Nuts and Bolts)
2 releases, released the same day I sort of consider 1 (Bath and Leaving Your Body Map)

subtracting the 3 live albums and counting each of those others as 1 instead of 2, there are
62 5-star releases.

And I see the top 3 as kind of a definitive top 3:
Brave
The Shaming of the True
Blood Moon

But among the other 59, I have a hard time ranking them. So for me to figure out a Top 10 albums, it's usually those 3 and any 7 out of those 59 others.

But this entry hopefully will serve a 1-stop-shop LINK to refer others to. I may try and put it up on rym as well.

I would love-to, and maybe of course with time, try and do 4.5-star list and even some day an epic 4-star. With the artwork? eh, only if it were in multiple entries.

These also would potentially be good YouTube videos (physical item/props hopefully and with my music collection finally coming out of storage in a matter of days, the hope to do that soon may not be too far away = maybe August/September/October?)

Also 5-star Movies? that may be something to look at soon..
